Thai-Style Mat-Based Pain Management
This modality combines aspects of Thai Massage with deep compression and stretching. This unique body work is incredible! For those who have had long term chronic tension, pain, or decreased flexibility, this is for you! This work is done on a mat on the floor using a variety of bolsters and pillows for support. Using knees, feet, and elbows in a slow compression for areas like hips, shoulders, hamstrings for a deeper more sustained time period to help you relax those really tense areas. I use static and rocking motions while taking my cues from you about when to use more pressure and to guide me into getting the exact spot for maximum relief. This work can be very relaxing and it also can be dynamic and intense. It’s also a great way for anyone to significantly increase their flexibility! *Athletic clothing such as yoga pants and work out attire are idea for this body work.
